Has anyone else considered that the UK government might have any interest in discouraging production of media of Human Centipede: Full Sequence's ilk, which somewhat limiting its profitability by denying it distribution here is about the most they can do to that end?
I would be happy to be pointed towards evidence of Shiraishi's Grotesque and the rest of the handful of films rejected by the BBFC in the last few years having gone to the of the box-office charts but have yet to read of that happening to any of them.
But, most of, I fail to see how a consistent continuation, if anything a lessening, of the average rate of something being denied certification of once every one or two years constitutes a new age of censorship. Unless HC2's banning is of some different rank to the rejection of Grotesque et al? Am I missing something here?
