Just noticed that Azur et Asmar began a run in German cinemas on 7 April 2011! After Les Contes de la nuit premiered there this Feburary, wether that has anything to do with it or if they were just even later to the party than with Ponyo. Regardless, it is always commendable to give new acquisitions a cinema release, no matter how long they've been out on home video in other countries: in fact, specifically so, as it bring one's audiences something they can't already get, if without subtitles in the local language.
