Azur et Asmar in California – but Not Until Next Year

Azur et Asmar will be the opening night gala film of the San Joaquin Children's Film Festival in Stockton, California, USA on 16 January 2009 (with one additional, afternoon screening on the 18 January).

Good News

Les Trésors cachés de Michel Ocelot does have English subtitles. Even for the documentary sections. This is a very good thing. I only wish that France Télévisions had thought to mention this on the back cover so that shops selling it were aware of this. No one was selling it for less than the RRP of €20 when I trawled the shops for it (which, with postage to the United Kingdom, comes out at about £20) but Journaux.fr is selling it with a thick magazine (containing the picture book version of Kirikou et la sorcière, colouring-in pictures and some info on Kirikou et Karaba) for no extra cost and also turned out to have cheapest postage and packaging for shipping it to the UK.
