Japanese DJ DAISHI DANCE has recently released an album of remixes and covers of Ghibli-related music, as reported at GhibliWorld.com. The most notable thing about this for me is that the opening track is "Kimi o Nosete" – but an English version of "Kimi o Nosete." I believe this is the first time that this song has received English lyrics timed with the music, though I do wonder what was done with it in the legendary mid-'80s dub.
I have many more partly-written posts on the go at the moment, so don't think I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel that is the blogosphere for something to report on – rather, I'm using it as a way of procrastinating the real reporting. And while I'm in the business regurgitating previously reported news, here's some Mary Blair loveliness.
Current music: Largely Cardcaptor Sakura and Gravitation-related songs of the daijôbu and "Spicy Marmalade" kind, but also Seaming's "Vertigo Billy" and this second major Venus Hum album, with it's kawaii artwork, which I have only today learnt of.
